IndusInd Bank Advising to Continue serving customers through DigiPay . By virtue of this letter we can claim to be BC of IndusInd Bank and continue operations.
Kindly ask all VLEs to register on DigiPay and also activate them so that they do not deny any person visiting them for cash withdrawal in lieu of DBT transfers done by Central and state governments to citizen.
This letter may be given to VLEs so that they can visit branches for cash withdrawal and show to authorities in case are asked so.
Subject: Essential Banking Services i.e. Mirco ATM, Cash Withdrawals, Cash Deposits and Domestic Money Transfers being rendered through BC’s during nationwide lockdown on account of Corona Virus
In light of countrywide lockdown and movement restrictions due to Coronavirus, we wish to ensure seamless delivery of essential banking services i.e. Micro ATM, Cash Withdrawal, Cash Deposits and Domestic Money transfers through Bank Branches and Banking Correspondents (BCs). BCs are service providers of the bank who are responsible for delivery of banking services through their Customer Service Points (CSPs).
As the essential banking services to be provided by BCs during lockdown, it is recommended that BCs & Customer Service Points should be allowed to function with limited staff during lockdown, subject to & governed by directions given by local administration from time to time.
